Build Writing Skills and Confidence with Sonlight High School Writing
Sonlight Student’s Choice High School Writing Workshop
Your student deserves a writing coach who believes they have something worth saying.
The Sonlight Student's Choice High School Writing Workshop pairs your student with a personal WriteAtHome writing coach. Students submit assignments from their Sonlight curriculum and work through WriteAtHome's three-draft coaching method. Your student doesn't just get feedback. They learn to revise, improve, and grow.
$199 per 8-Week Workshop
This workshop is offered five times per school year.
Here’s How It Works
Your student uses writing assignments they (or you) choose from their Sonlight curriculum. Over the course of the eight-week workshop, your student will complete seven paper submissions:
one diagnostic paper
two, three-draft papers (Your student will write a first draft, revision, and final draft of these two papers.)
Your student will receive a rubric score based on 100 points on the final draft of each paper.

Extra planning or grading for you. (We handle all the writing instruction in the WriteAtHome course.)
A replacement for Sonlight's literature program. Students submit writing from the work you're already doing together.
What to Expect Each Week
Each week your student logs into their WriteAtHome Canvas account, reads a short writing lesson, and takes a brief auto-graded quiz.
Your student will submit their Sonlight writing assignment to their coach. With the first draft of each paper, they will also submit the assignment description.
Their coach reads every submission and responds with personalized feedback.
