$678.00

English 12 combines High School Writing 4 and Self-Paced High School British Literature into a single enrollment — a fitting capstone for a high school English education. Your student will work with a dedicated writing coach on all writing assignments and progress through self-paced British literature at a manageable pace, all for one convenient price.

Is English 12 Right for Your Family?

Many parents find the combined English model—where literature and writing are part of the same course—appealing for its efficiency and coherence. English 12 offers that as a capstone experience. Because literature is self-paced and the writing instruction is asynchronous, your student can complete their work anytime during the week that fits their schedule.

A few practical advantages:

  • Two courses, one enrollment, one transcript entry. English 12 appears on your student’s transcript as a single annual course.

  • Significant savings compared to enrolling in each course individually.

  • Writing and literature support and reinforce each other throughout the year.

How It Works

Writing (High School Writing 4) is the most advanced writing course in the WriteAtHome curriculum and is coach-supported. It covers all four writing modes with an emphasis on formal literary analysis essays and research papers, preparing students for college-level writing.

Literature (Self-Paced High School British Literature) spans Anglo-Saxon epic poetry through Shakespeare, Romantic verse, Gothic fiction, and 20th-century dystopian novels. Students work through recorded video lectures, reading pacing guides, and auto-graded comprehension quizzes at their own pace. Note: There is no WriteAtHome teacher support for the literature portion of English 12.

Student Expectations

  • Complete weekly writing lessons and submit assignments on time
