High School English 9

An integrated literature and writing option for families who want a unified English course.

WriteAtHome offers several ways for high school students to study English. Our new English 9 course combines literature and writing into a single, full-year course for families who prefer a cohesive structure.

In this option, literature and writing are taught together. Like all WriteAtHome annual writing courses, students will learn to write many different types of papers, both academic and creative, including writing about literature. Each course earns one full English credit* and is designed for college-prep homeschool students.

Students work with the same teacher/writing coach for both literature and writing, providing continuity and consistent feedback across the course.

WriteAtHome offers both integrated English courses and separate literature and writing classes because students and families differ. Some want individual subject instruction, and others prefer an integrated approach.
